There are two kind of stone chips in market.
One is pre painted stone chips; this is the use of paints to coat natural stone. This chips are very bright mostly when new! But
thelifespan is limited to about 2-3 years. Fading is visible after the first few weeks post installation. Other manufacturers use
pained stone which quickly changes color due to UV and comes off easily due to low quality basecoats.
The other chip is sintered stone chips; it is the most advanced technology for the chips for stone coated roofing sheet. The
